The Yarra Valley

The Yarra Valley was a lot different than I expected it to be. I was picturing the land to be desolate and dry when in reality it was lush and beautiful. I was amazed at how beautiful the rolling hills were with the sheep and cattle grazing in their pastures. The bright green grape vines sat on the mountains in perfect rows. It was so pretty. The vineyard we visited for lunch was nestled on the rolling hills, completely surrounded by grape vines. I had never been to a place like this and I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and the people there were so sweet. After lunch, we drove down to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and had some delicious free samples of white, milk and dark chocolate. Some people were taking shots of pure chocolate while others gorged on gourmet ice cream while looking at the scenery or watching the chocolatiers work their magic. All in all, it was a great day. Earlier in the morning we went to a wildlife sanctuary and met some kangaroos up close and personal, then we had a great lunch with a gorgeous backdrop, and then finally ended our day at a chocolate factory. Can it get any better than that? – Caroline AndersonImage
